Welcome to our Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy resource, where we delve into the intricate world of pelvic well-being. At the core of our body lies a complex network of muscles, ligaments, and organs that make up the pelvic region. Achieving and maintaining pelvic health is vital for overall well-being, affecting various aspects of our lives, from physical comfort to emotional balance.
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that form a hammock-like structure at the base of the pelvis, supporting the bladder, uterus, and rectum. Just like any other muscle group, the pelvic floor requires attention and care. Factors such as childbirth, aging, surgery, and lifestyle choices can impact pelvic health, leading to issues like incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction.

At Specialized Orthopedic Physical Therapy, we adopt a holistic approach to pelvic health. We recognize that each individual is unique, and our goal is to provide personalized care that addresses the specific needs of our patients. Our team of dedicated professionals, including pelvic health specialists, physical therapists, and wellness experts, collaborates to offer comprehensive and compassionate care.

We know that during the course of treatment, you may need to cancel an appointment. Because our examinations are formatted as 80-minute and 40-minute sessions, late cancellations and no-shows significantly impact our business, your physical therapist, and other patients on the waitlist who could have been treated. For these reasons, appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance to allow us time to fill the schedule opening. If an appointment is not cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, you will be charged a one-hundred and fifty-dollar ($150) fee for a missed examination, or a fifty-dollar ($50) fee for a missed treatment. These cancellation fees are not covered by insurance, and you may not schedule another appointment until this fee has been paid.
Two (2) cancellations made less than 48 hours before your appointment, or two (2) no-shows, will be considered grounds for termination of treatment, and all future appointments will be cancelled.
